samantha harvey
was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. She began her early training at Towson University’s Children’s Dance Division and at Carver Center for Arts and Technology. She continued her training at various summer programs offered by the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, Richmond Ballet, Houston Ballet, Bates Dance Festival on scholarship, and most recently the Paul Taylor Summer and Winter Intensives on work-study. Currently, she is a third year Honors student at Towson University pursuing a double major in Dance Performance and Sociology with a concentration in Anthropology. At Towson University, she has had the opportunity to work with choreographers such as Nai-Ni Chen, Michale Uthoff, Dion Wilson, Dana Tai-Soon Burgess, Vincent Thomas, and Nancy Wanich-Romita, in addition to performing works by George Balanchine and Paul Taylor. Samantha has won numerous awards from the Maryland Council for Dance and is a Maryland Distinguished Scholar in Dance. She is grateful for the opportunity to continue her artistic journey by working with Mr. Thomas on his Mozart Project.
