a resident of DC since 1992, Mr. Torres’s local credits include The Magic Rainforest (Kennedy Center), La Quimbamba (Corcoran), Do Lord Remember Me and Gospel at Colonus (Capitol Hill Arts Workshop), Clean (Studio Theatre), and South Pacific (Arena Stage). His Broadway stage credits include Guys and Dolls, The Wiz, Purlie, Bubblin’ Brown Sugar, Arms Too Short to Box with God, Don’t Bother Me I Can’t Cope, and Indians. As a dancer, he has performed with the companies of Fred Benjamin, Talley Beatty, Glen Brooks, Eleo Pomare, Billy Wilson and Asadata Dafora, as well as Nancy Havlik’s Dance Performance Group, Mason/Rhynes Production, and Liz Lerman Dance Exchange.
